Glendale Bulldogs 2009 Team Rules

(Rules will be enforced, read carefully)

COMMITMENT WILL BE OUR KEY!

After suffering 14 season ending injuries we found out amongst ourselves what true commitment is all about. We could have completely fell apart and all walked away from a very bad situation. But to you returning players credit we did not do that we endured and have begun to rebuild a team that we can all believe in from the top to the bottom. We all have a burning sensation in the pit of our stomachs and are all ready to get started. As you returning players know and the new recruits must understand without 100% dedication to this program and your teammates we will not achieve the goals we set for ourselves.  If this is going to be a championship team for years to come we ALL must understand the time that will be required of each of us and then and only then a decision must be made as to whether you will be a part of the Bulldogs team or not. You will not be considered a Bulldog until you have read this agreement. This will hopefully make you stop and understand what it is you are about to become a part of.  The Bulldogs organization will as always do its part in their commitment to the team. This year we will be implementing some new rules for player participation. We practice the ideals of sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-discipline. We as coaches will do our very best to ensure that each player is utilized to his utmost potential. Keep in mind your talents will be utilized for the team’s best advantage. The team must come first before individuals. The commitment we will have to each other will be second to none or we will not continue. Our motto this year is going to be from worst to first!  SAFETY The purpose of pre-conditioning and working out during the off season is to help you stay healthy and avoid injury during the season. Many players come into camp out of shape and not physically ready to participate in a full practice. If this is you, then let us know. We expect everyone to participate and complete all the drills and conditioning that is scheduled during practice, in some cases this may mean at your own pace. If you are not in good condition We strongly suggest you hit the track and start conditioning as much as you are able before practice begins. You must take it upon yourself to keep hydrated. This means plenty of water the day before practice and a game! Be very careful with the supplements you are taking as many of them have an adverse side effect of dehydrating you. Beer and other alcoholic beverages have the same effect.

INSURANCE

If you do not have insurance then you must contact the league so that a representative can help you in getting some type of coverage during the season.  This is to help you all in protecting yourselves and your families.  Further information will be coming from the league shortly.
